In June 2018, we were pleased to be shortlisted for Medium Practice of the Year at the Accounting Excellence Awards.
These Awards celebrate the achievements of ambitious growth-oriented firms and technology suppliers across the UK.
We are grateful to software giant, Sage, for acknowledging our vision for the future of accounting services by nominating our practice.
We are particularly delighted to be shortlisted for this National Award following our success with the Independent Firm of the Year Wales and Midlands at the British Accountancy Awards last year.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 20th September at the InterContinental in Park Lane, London, where Green & Co partners, Barrie Kenyon, Ed Gooderham and Nick Park will be in attendance.
June 2018 also saw us shortlisted for Client Service of the Year at the Accounting Excellence Awards, again covering the whole of the UK.
This award recognises our efforts in supporting our clients, and helping them achieve their goals and objectives, by adapting and developing new technology.
We are committed to providing a proactive, efficient and friendly service to all of our clients, and to be shortlisted for a National Award is incredibly rewarding.
Once again, we were nominated by Sage, and it highlights the hard work and dedication of all the staff at Green & Co.
Winners of this category will also be announced at the awards ceremony 20th September at the InterContinental in Park Lane, London.
Independent Firm of the Year
In 2017, for the second time in four years, Green & Co won Independent Firm of the Year at the British Accountancy Awards. Originally winning the award in 2014, we once again brought the award back to Gwent.
This award recognises firms that play a fundamental role in enabling their clients to achieve their business goals through the provision of effective, innovative and unique services.
We work extremely hard to provide our clients with services of the highest quality, and to help them achieve their business goals.
Winning the Independent Firm of the Year, Wales & Midlands, England award, is hugely exciting for us and demonstrates the hard work and dedication we commit to providing our clients with the best possible service.
Investors in People Gold
Between April 2014 and April 2017, Green & Co held Investors in People Gold accreditation. We were one of only three accountancy firms in Wales to have attained Gold status, and the only one based in South Wales, making this a considerable achievement.
This accreditation demonstrates that we are a firm that represents world class practice in terms of the way our people are led, managed and developed. It is testament to our dedication to continuous improvement and our desire to ensure that we deliver practice of the highest quality and a first-class service for both our staff and our clients.
The Investors in People framework is a means of improving how a business functions and achieves its business goals. Particular emphasis is given to good workforce communications, structure, and teamwork in the support of business objectives. The assessment process is based entirely on interviews with employees from across the organisation by an independent assessor.
In 2015, Green & Co were finalists in the Best Employer category of the Accountancy Age Award’s for the fourth year running.
The Best Employer Award recognises the accountancy firm that is an industry leader, in terms of the development of skills, career opportunities, rewards and recognition, and employment benefits. It also honours the firm that its employees view as a great place to work. We are extremely pleased to have been finalists for four years running.
Green & Co have successfully achieved the Green Dragon Level 4 Environmental Standard.
As a company, we are working towards becoming a paperless office and do all that we can to limit our impact on the environment - whether it be using email for our company secretarial duties, making use of our new solar panels, printing double sided, car sharing, or using suppliers who consider the environment.
