First Gwent Landlord Forum of 2018 Tackles Tech and Mortgage Products

23 January 2018

The South Wales Argus covers the upcoming Gwent Landlord Forum.

The first Gwent Landlord Forum of 2018 kicks off on Tuesday 30th January at the Parkway Hotel in Llantarnam, Cwmbran.

The free event, sponsored by Cwmbran-based Rubin Lewis O’Brien and Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors, aims to educate landlords from across Newport and Gwent.

The speakers will be Carol Jones from NatWest regarding mortgage options in the buy-to-let market, Carly Tang from Xero who will give an insight into how landlords can utilise the accountancy package and Dan Allan from Arthur, a property management software who will cover the benefits it can offer those with properties in the private rented sector.

Managing Partner at Rubin Lewis O’Brien, Sam George, said:

“With the ever-changing landscape of the buy-to-let market it is vital for landlords to be aware of all products available to them from lenders as well as technology that can assist them in being as efficient as possible. This is an opportunity to hear from the software experts about how you can use technology to your advantage in a sometimes-challenging industry.”

Ed Gooderham, Director of Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors said:

“We look forward to the first forum of 2018. With interests rates on the rise, it is vitally important for our landlords to be aware of the products available to them. Also, with many landlords running their portfolio like a business, it is only right they equip themselves with professional software that will help them run smoothly. Our main aim is to provide local landlords with as much information and support as possible, and from feedback we have received from our attendees we know that they really benefit from the events.”

The Gwent Landlord Forum will start from 6pm and is due to finish by 8.30pm.
