How Can I Make a Claim for the Job Support Scheme?
This post was originally published in 19 October 2020 and was updated on 26 October 2020 for freshness, accuracy and comprehensiveness.
The Job Support Scheme (JSS) will be open to eligible employers from 1 November 2020 to the end of April 2021.
You will be able to make a claim online from 8 December through the Government website and you will be reimbursed on a monthly basis.
Grants will be payable in arrears meaning that a claim can only be submitted in respect of a given pay period, after payment to the employee has been made and that payment has been reported to HMRC via an RTI return.
Please be aware that HMRC will be checking claims and may withhold grants or request a repayment if your claim is found to be fraudulent or based on incorrect information.
Agents who are authorised to do PAYE online for employers will be able to claim on their behalf.
If you have any questions regarding the support available, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
