The remote and secluded island of Tristan da Cunha is advertising for help. The most remote island in the world has a population of just shy of 300 and already has a café, museum, swimming pool and tourist centre, but is in need of a farmer to help support, guide and train the locals in farming.
The island currently produces mostly potatoes but plans to harvest fruits, vegetables and other crops to help increase its self-sufficiency. The island has around 1,000 acres of poor grazing for 300 cattle and 500 sheep, but needs help to maintain financial independence and ultimately avoid insolvency.
