Tech the Way Forward for Landlords

20 February 2018

The South Wales Argus covered our January Gwent Landlord Forum.

The first Gwent Landlord Forum of 2018 delivered a clear message to landlords; use technology to make life a little easier.

The free event, sponsored by Cwmbran-based Rubin Lewis O’Brien and Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors, was held on Tuesday 30th January and saw guest speakers from NatWest, accountancy software Xero and property management technology Arthur.

Ed Gooderham, Director of Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors said:

“The quality of speakers was superb. Landlords across Wales will need to start embracing technology such as Xero and Arthur sooner rather than later. The benefits the technology affords you makes it a no-brainer. Utilising simple, easy-to-use and affordable software will not only save you time and hassle but it will help reduce late payments from tenants, minimise void periods and ensure there is clear communication between all parties when it comes to the private rented sector.”

Managing Partner at Rubin Lewis O’Brien, Sam George, said

“As well as the talks from the technology experts, we had a hugely-informative talk from Carol Jones of NatWest on the different products and options available to landlords in the buy to let market. The Gwent Landlord Forum was yet again the source of knowledge when it comes to the cutting-edge of industry information for landlords.”

The next Gwent Landlord Forum is on Tuesday 27th March from 6pm-8pm at the Parkway Hotel, Cwmbran.
